Amazon is discontinuing its Amazon Drive cloud storage service, but the company is still interested in your photos. In a blog post, Amazon said that it will be transitioning users to its Photos service. Photos is a cloud-based photo storage and sharing service that was launched in December 2016. It has since been updated with new features, such as automatic face recognition and group editing. Amazon Drive allowed users to store files such as documents, pictures, and videos in the cloud. Files could be accessed from any device with an internet connection. However, Amazon Drive will no longer be available starting on July 1st. Users can continue to use the service until their files are migrated to Photos or they delete them. Photos offers more features than Amazon Drive did. For example, photos can be automatically backed up and stored in multiple locations so they’re always accessible. They can also be shared with friends and family members easily through the app or website. Additionally, photos can be edited on a desktop computer or mobile device using Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom CC, respectively. While Amazon Drive is being discontinued, it’s still possible to store files there for now. After July 1st, those files will need to be migrated to Photos or deleted if they’re not going to be used anymore." ..
