If you’re like most gamers, you have a lot of favorite apps and games that you want to play at the same time. But sometimes it can be hard to switch between them quickly. Here are some tips on how to do it quickly and easily on your PlayStation 4 or Pro. First, make sure that your apps are all installed in the same place on your system. This means that they should all be in the “Applications” folder on your PS4 or in the “Games” folder on your Pro. If they aren’t, you can move them there using the PlayStation Store or by copying them manually. Next, make sure that your games are all set up to use quick launch buttons. This means that they will show up as icons in the main menu of your PS4 or Pro system instead of as full-screen applications. To do this, open the game’s settings menu and look for a setting called “Quick Launch Options” or “Quick Launch Menu Items.” If it doesn’t exist, then go ahead and create it by selecting from one of the options listed there. Once it is set up, every time you launch the game it will open right away without having to go through Applications first. Finally, make sure that you have enough memory available on your system for all of your apps and games. If one of them starts taking up too much space, then it might not be able to run properly or at all. Try deleting some of the apps or games until there is enough room for everything else. ..

You probably don’t do a lot of multitasking on your PlayStation 4, but sometimes you just need to flip back and forth between a pair of apps (or an app and a game). Fortunately, there’s a fast and easy way to do this.

Before we get into it, however, I want to point one thing out: you still can’t use this to jump between games. The PlayStation 4 (and Pro) will only allow one game at a time to run. Period. Sorry to all the ADHD gamers out there.

Alright! So this is a setting that’s actually already enabled by default, meaning you don’t have to do anything to use it.

Are you ready for this? With the two apps you want to switch between running as the most recent, just tap the PS button on the controller twice. Seriously, that’s it.

I’m ashamed to admit how long it took me to realize this feature even existed after having both the original PS4 and the Pro. Hopefully this will save you the same shame. That’s me looking out for you. But if you already knew…why didn’t you tell me? I thought we were friends.
