If you’re like most people, you use your Amazon Fire tablet for entertainment, work, and general browsing. But if you’ve been noticing that the Amazon Fire tablet is recommending certain apps and movies to you even when you haven’t installed them, it’s time to take action. Here’s how to remove Amazon Fire tablet recommendations:

  1. Open the Settings app on your Amazon Fire tablet.
  2. Under “General,” tap “Device Management.”
  3. Under “Device Management,” tap “Apps & Features.”
  4. Tap the app or feature that you want to disable or remove from recommendations.
  5. Tap “Disable” or “Remove from Recommendations.” ..

By default, Fire Tablets have a row at the top of the “Home” tab for recommendations. “Continue” lists your recently-used apps, while “Discover” is essentially ads content and apps you may like. We can turn off both of these or keep “Continue.”

First, open the “Settings” from the home screen.

Next, go the “Apps & Notifications.”

Finally, go to “Home Screens.”

There are two toggles on this screen. Turning off “Recommendations” will remove the “Discover” section, but leave “Continue.” Alternatively, you can turn off both “Continue and Discover Row.”

Here’s what the home screen looks like with only “Continue” or both turned off.
