If you’re like most people, you probably have a few Wi-Fi passwords for different places around your house. But what if you want to share one of those passwords with someone else? There are a few ways to do that, and each has its own set of pros and cons. Here’s how to share a Wi-Fi password from your Android phone to any other smartphone. The easiest way is to use the built-in sharing feature on your Android phone. Just go into Settings, select “Wi-Fi,” and then tap the name of the network you want to share the password with. On the next screen, tap “Share password.” You’ll see a list of devices that are currently connected to that network, and at the bottom you’ll see a button that says “Share this password.” Tap it, enter the password you want to share, and then hit OK. This method is great if you just want to share onepassword with someone else without having them install any special software or make any changes on their phone. However, there are two downsides: first, this method only works if both devices are using Android 4.3 or later; second, if someone else connects their device before you do (or if their device is turned off while yours is on), they’ll be able to access your network without needing your password. If security is important to you, then another option might be better for you. That option is called AirDroid Mirroring (or simply AirMirroring). AirDroid Mirroring lets you mirror whatever’s on your Android phone onto another device (like a computer), so anyone who has access to that computer can also access everything on your phone (including your Wi-Fi passwords). However, AirDroid Mirroring requires both devices be running the same version of Android and have been installed with AirDroid app; it doesn’t work with iOS devices or Macs. Additionally, while AirMir ..
When you’re ready to grant access to your Wi-Fi network, navigating to your handset’s Settings menu. The easiest way to do this is by swiping down from the top of the device’s screen to show the Quick Settings menu. From there, tap on the Gear icon to open the Settings menu.
As each Android smartphone is slightly different, you might need to swipe down a second time to locate the Gear icon.
Alternatively, you can swipe up from the bottom edge of your phone to access the App Drawer. Here, you can locate and open the “Settings” app.
Next, select the “Connections,” “Network & Internet,” or similar option. Again, this menu name might differ depending on the manufacture of your Android handset.
Now, tap on the “Wi-Fi” listing from the top of the menu.
Make sure that you’re connected to the Wi-Fi network that you want to share with others and then either select the network name (SSID) or the corresponding Gear icon.
You’re now in the Advanced Settings menu for the given network. Tap on the “QR Code” or “Share” button. No matter what your smartphone calls the button, it should be represented with a QR code icon.
Note: Some OEMs might require you to input your screen lock password/PIN/pattern/biometrics before it displays a code.
Your Android handset will now generate and show a QR code. Have your guests open the default camera app on their Android smartphone or iPhone and scan the code. A message might pop up, asking if they want to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
Devices that are running Android 10 and later also have an option within the phone’s Wi-Fi Settings menu to scan a QR code.
